TRANSPORTATION LINES FOR ONSHORE PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION
Based on approved FS and Site Survey Report, the main transportation lines for onshore construction are as follows:

KP 16+100 HIGHWAY 63 AND XANG XEO RO CANAL

KP30+700 CAI LON RIVER
River width is approx. 580m, deepest depth is approx. 8m. Planned dredging depth is 10m. 

KP36+000 CAI BE RIVER
River width is approx. 87m, deepest depth is approx. 7m. Planned dredging depth is 9.5m. 

KP39+600 HIGHWAY 61
Highway width approx. 9m, high traffic density and approx. 100m from the Go Dat Bridge.

KP58+100 THOT NOT CANAL AND INTERPROVINCIAL ROAD
Canal width is approx. 69m, the deepest depth is approx. 5.2m. Planned dredging depth is 6.5m. This canal runs parallel with an approx. 5m road with medium traffic density. Approx. 70m from the Cay U Bridge 

KP82+100 THI DOI CANAL

KP97+200 HIGHWAY 91

OPEN CUT METHOD FOR SMALLCANALS CROSSING

Step 1: Chặn giao thông 2 đầu kênh, cầu tạm, đường tạm và điều khiển giao thông sang kênh / đường tránh.
Step 2: Excavate the trench as per designed elevation and below the master plan dredging level.
Step 3: Push/ pull the pipe string from construction site through open cut crossing.
Step 4: Lower-in the pipe string and back filling the trench and reinstate bottom of canal.
Step 5: Remove the temporary walls and reinstate canal banks.

OPEN CUT METHOD FOR OTHER CANALS CROSSING
CANALS WITH MORE THAN 10m WIDE, LESS THAN 3m DEEP AND LOW TRAFFIC DENSITY
Step 1: Mobilize flat barge in to the site. (CậP nhật tương tự slide trên)

Step 2: Excavate the trench and ensure the depth of cover shall be 1m below the master plan dredging level.

Step 3: Lowing the pipeline spool which finish test into trench below bottom canal.

Step 4: Back filling the trench and reinstate bottom of canal.

OPEN CUT METHOD FOR SMALL ROAD CROSSING
MINOR ROAD LESS THAN 8m WIDTH AND LOW TRAFFIC DENSITY
Step 1: Prepare construction site and mobilize construction equipment on one half of the road.

Step 2: Temporary bypass road may be built to minimize traffic disruption, if required.

Step 3: Excavate the trench and ensure minimum depth of cover of 1.2m (TOP) reached.

Step 4: Lowering pipe spool which finish test into trench

Step 5: Lowing the pipeline spool which finish test into trench.

Step 6: Back filling the trench and temporary reinstate the road.

OPEN CUT METHOD FOR SMALL ROAD CROSSING MINOR ROAD LESS THAN 8m WIDTH AND LOW TRAFFIC DENSITY

Step 7: Repeat the procedure on the other half of the road.

Step 8: Tie-in the two spools and hydrostatic test before backfilling the whole trench.

Step 9: Back filling the trench and reinstate the road.

Step 10: Remove the temporary bypass road, if any.
THRUST BORING METHOD FOR MINOR CROSSING
FOR SHORT ROAD CROSSING WITH MEDIUM TO HIGH TRAFFIC DENSITY
Step 1: Excavate two pits on both sides of the road, the size of pits must be large enough to accommodate specialized equipment.

Step 2: Mobilize equipment trust boring equipment in to the pits.

Step 3: Special drill heads will be used to drill the road.

Step 4: Each pipe length shall be welded, NDT and pushed across the bore.

Step 5: Hydrostatic test and backfill the pits.
HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING (HDD) METHOD
HDD is a process of installing underground services without trenching is an efficient and professional method widely used in many developed and developing countries.
Proven to be faster, more cost effective and definitely less disruptive to surface activities.
HDD systems give people and the environment the convenience and protection of an otherwise polluted and messy worksite.
Suitable for Canals/Rivers more than 20m wide and deeper than 3m with from medium and high traffic density.
